An interesting free museum, covering the history of Maidstone, Kent regiments, wider history and some odd collection of items. Worthy of viewing while in the town, no pre booking required.

Love it here, and the Kids love it. Theres dinosaurs and animals to see. There is also a dress up part and pictures for the children to colour. They usually do egg hunts or classes for children to do around museum
Having Aspergers i found it can get very noisy and crowded in here. As i have enhanced hypersensitivity to sound due to Aspergers it times it can be unbearable. It also causes issues for small places and crowds. If i go now. I make sure i go with my Support worker. So i am able to get support with noise and crowds. Irs definitely a kiddies place to go. I normally go during the week when kids are at school. So much quiter.
Wasn't expecting such a good little museum. Loads to see. Very interesting part about Mr Brenchley who had such an exciting life he deserves a film. We spent a happy wet morning here.
