While the noodles, base, and flavorings were very good, the pork was cold and hard in the center. The side dish was cold also. The broth, while very good, was not so much better than other ramen houses. I came here for all the positive reviews, but was disappointed.

Flavorful and delicious ramen and gyoza. The staff was just a bit slow and inattentive on a weeknight.

Ambience It was downright peaceful and quiet because I was the only customer at the time. It turns out they usually close the bigger part of the restaurant sometime in the afternoon. Too bad, though, because I was intending to sit near the window to keep my eyes busy after looking at the menu. Kichitora Paitan Ramen Hands down, this was pretty good ramen! The soup was very thick and tasty though I'm not quite sure if the egg did this. The egg was already served cut in half and I was really happy it was included. For the meat, you have 2 options: chicken or pork. The pork was amazing! It was tender and tasty with a grilled flavor! My favorite part was the noodles because they had a perfectly hard texture. I was very full up to the last sip! Service Judy was kind and asked if I was enjoying my food. She then gave me an idea on how they prepare their ramen, which I found pretty impressive. It made me want to come back and try other ramen too! Service Charge Excluded. I cry.

Had the Shoyu Tsukemen. The soup was so thin and the noodles were too soggy. Broth had an underlying sourness and a hint of dishwashing soap(?). Spent a year in Japan trying out ramen from all over. I know it's not reasonable to expect Japan level quality here but this place doesn't even seem to try. Hope there are better places in Metro Manila.

Finally found a ramen house where I would be satisfied with the taste of ramen. Guys! This is a must try Ramen house. I highly recommend. They have this #1 bestselling ramen. I love their Paitan Ramen Zenbu No Se! Very delicious!

/// edit 2: the menu was recently adjusted along with some key items and it's not a good change. Noodles are still pretty perfect but there's something different about the broth -- it's still gelatinous and flavorful but perhaps less so. The additions to the menu are not good ones. The Black Garlic has no discernible difference from the regular Paitan and the Ebi Seafood Ramen is essentially ramen noodles in a slightly spicy bisque. Said bisque is not bad but somehow seems out of place in a ramen joint. Fried chicken continues to be below par. //edit: recently the menu here has become more varied, perhaps at the cost of their core items. While the broth and noodles are still excellent, their flash-boiled eggs have been a bit overcooked and the their fried chicken a touch too doughy. My favorite ramen in the Philippines. A rich, flavorful chicken-based soup with thick chewy noodles. I'd pass on the miso and go for the classic Paitan Ramen. Don't forget the karaage - crispy tender deliciousness.
