Me and a group of 6 friends attended if their blacksmithing classes. The class was on making a knife out of a rail road spike. We had a great time. Scott the instructor (also MakerSpace NYC director) was awesome. He was very knowledgeable and had tremendous amount of patience to deal with our Motley Crew of miscreants. Hoping to attend another class here. Thinking of getting a day pass to work on other projects. If you want to take a blacksmithing classes this is the class to take! Thanks for a great time!

I've been involved with Staten Island MakerSpace for over three years now and they have been nothing, but welcoming and supportive. They inspire you to make anything you can dream up and then show you how to actually do it through workshops and lessons. This community based workshop and advanced manufacturing center has been one of the biggest value adds to Staten Island and the greater NYC Maker Community. If you are a creative, engineer, or hobbyist do not hesitate to stop by after scheduling a tour on their website or by taking a class. I have had the fortune to both take classes and teach them here. It has been truly a life changing experience. Thank you to the founders, staff, and volunteers for all their hard work to make this wonderful non-profit the true gem it is today!

The facilities and equipment at Staten Island MakerSpace are fantastic. I came from London to work on a commission, and was warmly welcomed by everyone there, including the owners, employees and other creatives working on individual projects. The generosity in sharing skills and expertise was invaluable. I learned a great deal, and wouldn't have completed my project in such a short space of time without their help. Plus I made some lovely new friends! If you have a project in mind, or simply want to learn, Staten Island MakerSpace should be your first stop. And if you're coming from Manhattan, the Staten Island ferry commute is a superb way to start and end the day!
