MakerSpace Sioux City, a 501(c)3 organization, is a member-operated shared space dedicated to serving the creative community in the Siouxland area. Our goal is to establish and operate a space where hobbyist, inventors, artists and innovative people from all walks of life can come together and share their enthusiasm and knowledge. Our 8,000 sq. ft facility located at 1401 Tri-View Ave in Sioux City, houses classrooms, workspace and shops. Members enjoy access throughout the day and help co-manage our space by teaching classes, maintaining equipment and promoting making in the community. Working together and collaborating will enable us to fill our space with a wide variety of neat gadgets and machines to build just about anything.

I wish I would have known about this place before I spent money on tools. Great place to learn crafts, cooking, woodworking, welding, pottery. The staff is super nice and helpful. Love that they have rough sawn hardwoods available in store!

I enjoyed using the variety of tools available for woodworking. The environment is friendly and it is a great place to learn new skills or practice them freely. My only complaint is the software used to design for the 3d printer, but if you are looking to learn for the first time or bring your own file to print it is a great experience.

Great place to start a business if you cant afford to rent your own. Heck, even if you can afford your own place MakerSpace is just an awesome environment to teach, start a business, or work on a project. Had a great experience at the Launch it Sioux city event that was hosted there. Learned a lot and the tools that were available at maker space made it possible for me and my team to develop a business in 72hrs.

I love the idea, I love this place, I love teaching classes here, I love learning from the others and I LOVE THE POTENTIAL!!! If you are curious at all please just stop by and have a look around, take a class (you dont need to be a member to take a class) or get a day pass to start out. You will not regret it. This place if full of tools I have wished I had and could use to do crafts. Now, it is like they are all in my collection and I even have the space to use them! And to top it off, more are added all the time! I hate if planes for a metal shop and I had seen a small metal lathe already added. It has just begun and is amazing. I can't want to see where it goes.
