Very nice place, found by chance via a simple search on google ! Food was fresh, full of taste and not expensive. The restaurant is run by a family and the atmosphere is very chill. Perfect to taste Kyoto specialities. The place is a little bit difficult to locate (inside a narrow street) but do not hesitate : it’s worth a stop for dinner :)

This small hidden restaurant is adorable. The food is delicious and affordable, the family running the place is beyond nice. My dinners here made my stay in Kyoto even more memorable.
This place was absolutely incredible! The food is very fresh and the portion sizes are quite large compared to other obinaze restaurants. The price is also very good! The family who runs the restaurant is very friendly! Their service was exceptional and very welcoming! I would highly recommend eating here.
This is probably one of the best places I've been in my life. Food was so good that we basically ordered the all menu just to try, even though we were super full. And it was ridiculously cheap as well. And the family owning the place is the nicest ever.
In search of a family-friendly restaurant serving typical Kyoto cuisine, my online search led me to Mamaya. We were treated like family by the owners, and Google Translate overcame any language barriers. The food was varied and delicious, and exquisitely prepared. My two children, ages 8 and 10, loved it so much that they requested to go for supper a second night! Go here, and you will feel like you are guests in their home.
