The doctor looked at the dog and prescribed some medicine. There's a dispensary at the hospital but the medicine prescribed was not available. Thorough checkup was not done. The hospital was clean but don't expect professional service. Since it is a government hospital the fee for dog checkup was 5 only.

I took a puppy that was hot by scooter and all they did was give a few needles and never really looked at him. I didn’t expect much in India for vet help but this is beyond a joke. I can’t find a vet anywhere in Manali so I have to go back here. It’s 1 rupee good price but you get what you paid for There if you know what I mean. Not worth one star.
This hospital seems very basic considering it is only animal hospital in manali. The doctor did not check the puppy i took properly didn't even touch the puppy to look at him properly. They don't charge anything but i would be happy to pay to get better service and they should provide records for treatment. Overall it's a okay place but it's only one so there should be better quality.
I want to report Dr. Vinay Sharma of the Manali government veterinary hospital, for being a useless professional, actually zero professionalism, who doesn't like animals and he who gave the wrong medicine to our puppy. BTW veterinary services are completely neglected in this region, he has neglected various other calls and thus has killed many animals in the surrounding areas. I wouldn't even give this place 1 star. I had a very bad experience at this animal hospital on all three occasions I had been there. Dr Vinay is an extremely rude man, treated me with complete disrespect, talking back at me, misdiagnosed my puppy and didn't answer my questions or give me any useful information. In fact my puppy was on the brink of dying because of how ill equipped this place is. I would not recommend anyone to take their pet to this hospital. The doctors are incapable of doing their jobs properly, they are not able to be polite to the people that walk in so how are they supposed to give your animal the service and treatment they need and deserve. Lazy, incapable, disrespectful and rude. I hope this guy gets his license taken from him, he has an ego the size of an elephant, just because he is the only vet in Manali. I would advise him to come down a peg or two, be respectful to people that want to help their animals instead of judging and being as unhelpful as he possibly could be.
