All came in nice plastic containersbeautiful pink Mandarin bag:) Good service! I hope the pandemic is over, so people can go inside and enjoy food. Good luck Mandarin, and Happy Chinese New Year! Mandarin is always one of my favor buffet restaurant and yet today it even surprised me with its Chinese New Year scenery, very nice atmosphere with lanterns and decorations. Food is also amazing with lots of variety and its fresh cooked, too! The price and services are incredible good and hard to find one elsewhere nowadays now. Thanks to Mandarin bringing me so many great joys and wonderful experience when visiting with my friends and families. Would come back again soon to try their new Chinese New Year menu!!!
We have for many years been regular patrons of Mandarin Buffet. Since the covid restrictions during the last year we have purchased takeout 3 times the last being 2 days ago. Each time the quality of the food has been great. Everything was tasty and hot and exactly as ordered. We look forward sometime in the future to resuming dining in at the Mandarin. A great restaurant!
I came here in December 2020 for the small eats menu. It looked like the server dressed in white didn't even want to be there. They were short staffed and had over 17 people dining in despite the 10 people limit. The place is huge but that didn't make them spread out their tables more. The washrooms still have garbage cans with lids on them, where you need to push to open them. Even Walmart got rid of all those, as no one wants to push a lid before throwing away paper towels after they washed their hands, during a pandemic. Counter tops here also look like it can do with a renovation. The food was mediocre, the small eats menu is a sample of their popular buffet items. The portion sizes here are fair, the vegetables were fresh and the dessert was great, but the noodles were too mushy, ribs were too hard, and the chicken balls were cold. I'm being generous by rating this restaurant two stars instead of one, but I won't be coming back.
Tried the Small Eats menu tonight which has replaced the traditional buffet. No dish cost more than 4.99 and each dish was easily shareable for 2. Ordered 8 dishes including some for take out and spent less than 30. Hot towel was provided before and after dinner. Tables are well spaced and the service was great!
