This used to be a shady place to drink back in the day. Wasn't hard on your pocket and could afford a drink. I'm pretty impressed with the way it's been rebranded and restored. The ambience and service is excellent. It's a good place to chill and catch up with friends. A visit with friends here is memorable. Cheers
This place never fails to suprise with good food and variety of drinks to serve on my every single visit. My visit to Mangalore is incomplete if I don't visit to Mangala bar and not ordering my personal favorites that are pork chilly, bacon wrapped sausages, loaded nachos, Phat Freddie and the list goes on.

My wife & I Visited the Mangala Bar & Restaurant for the first time a couple of days back. We were accompanied by our son who has been a regular here along with his friends. He had been telling us about the Phat Freddie burgers served at this restaurant for a long time and I was tempted to finally try one out. It is one of the older restaurants in Mangalore and is located at Attavar Mangalore. It had to cut down on its floor space due to the reduced patronage during the Covid pandemic but has still managed to have separate sections for bachelors and families. A bit congested but manageable. The clientele is mainly from the younger set and draught beer is available on tap. Overall a pleasant place. The Phat Freddie was good and the evening passed quickly. The Goan touch is unmistakable and even the menu has a Konkani feel to it. "Dookra Maas" anyone...
I always make it a point to eat here every time I am in town. The food is superb, the staff friendly and efficient.
earlier it was a big place. Now its become really small in size. They need a better interiors
