Clean store. Helpful staff, but I had to find someone and ask. Prices were fair and used books were all in decent condition. Movies and games were plentiful and there was a even a small section of vinyl records. Comics section was sparse, mainly Marvel and DC. Sale prices were great. Would visit again.

This is one of my favorite stores in Manhattan, KS. If you are into reading, movies, or music check the store out. The customer service is good and the selection is wide. When I am feeling nostalgic, I will go to the store and check out memorabilia from all my favorite movies and television shows. The store is also attached to a small coffee shop.
I dig this place! I go for books, magazines, vinyls and the "trendy" stuff. Stickers, posters and stuff. They have games: card, video and board. Movies everywhere. Check these guys out if you want to be entertained!
Hastings is a store with potential, but needs a serious facelift. The exterior of this store is rather dated and unassuming. Once inside the products on the shelves are relevant for today. They simply need a cleaned up, more impressive storefront and to shampoo their carpet. Otherwise, the staff seem friendly and the books are abundant. Here in Manhattan, we don't have a Barnes & Noble, so Hastings or Books-a-Million are the only choices. I'm sure I will return...
It's a shame the last of the old brick and mortar video rental stores is saying goodbye to the Manhattan community. A haven for geeks and media enthusiasts for as long as I can remember, Hasting will be missed by many. I guess you have to be a mega corporate conglomerate to survive in America, or work for one, these days.
Easy to find what you are looking For! Convenient
Almost every item is overpriced. Even as they shutdown and they give "big" cuts on prices, they are still overpriced compared to almost any other retailer.
