We stay here every time we come into town! The beds are terrible, but we only need the room long enough to take a quick nap (no more than 5-6 hours) and shower before hitting the road again. Christine at the front desk was absolutely amazing! Very nice, always smiling! Even helped me with my problem described below. At 0500 on April 09, someone banged on our hotel room door leaving a note asking me to call and have "intercourse" with him. A police report was made. Christine was very helpful in assisting me with getting a hold of the local police. She was very apologetic, but establishments can't help the occasional creepers (he literally had to have watched me for my room number and watched my boyfriend leave for a brief moment to come knocking at 0500). This was the only problem we've had with the establishment in all the times we've stayed at this location. We do not plan on having this experience ruin our plans on future reservations. Christine was able to offer a few extra safety precautions that I could ask for on our next reservation (second floor, closer to front with more lighting, etc.)...
Cheapest rate in town that I could find online. Used the Motel 6 app to save a few more bucks. Decent room, no problems. Found a few pieces of football confetti so there must have been a Super Bowl party in the room the Sunday before. Still a great deal. I will stay here again if my kid decides to attend K-State.
This was unlike any motel 6 I'd ever stayed at. I was instantly impressed when I walked into the lobby; large, cozy, nice decorations that included a shiny, black piano. I would've hardly known I'd stepped inside a motel 6. I just didn't know they came this way. The staff was friendly and helpful, yet professional at the same time. They were great! The room, including bathroom and bed, was clean, tidy and comfortable. Water pressure was excellent. Everything worked in this room: remote, tv, air unit, etc. I had a great night's sleep and hot, fresh coffee in the morning. I would absolutely stay here again, and highly recommend others to do so if ever in or planning to be in the general area!
The heating and or cooling system didn't work as well as I would have liked, it got a little warm. We were there a year ago and the concrete stairs were still loose, and the walk way out side the room was slanted. I think it's time for full rehab. Very nice staff!!
Pros: cheap, good location, good service, pet friendly Cons: not that clean, limited amenities When we arrived our assigned room was not clean, but the staff quickly and kindly switched us to a new room. The shower was hot, but lacked water pressure, and only had bar soap. There is a mini fridge with a freezer and a microwave. Beds were comfortable enough. Did not bring my dog but the pet policy is pretty nonrestrictive Overall: Good for a couple nights if you are looking for something affordable and well placed. If you aren't going to spend a lot of time there or just need a place to hang out with some friends for a few hours and then stay the night, it is perfect.
When went to check in asked for a room with a queen size bed and on the first floor. I was told that all the rooms have one size bed a full. I was put into a handicapped room. Upon entering saw bugs crawling on the floor, small full size bed. I understand it was thinking game weekend. I use to work motel myself. Allison was more of a help than the one when checked in.
Outstanding! Our group checked in after the football game and were greeted by a young man that took pride in his job and made it his number one priority to get us settled into our rooms. He is the number one reason we would recommend this motel to our friends. Our rooms were nothing glam or glitzy, but extremely clean and exactly what we had asked for when booking. After a day in the sun the shower was FABULOUS...clean, sparkling white and wonderful water pressure! As we milled about the next morning all the cleaning staff was hard at work, in and out of rooms, and each and everyone of them had a smile on their face and greeted us with a sincere "hello"! We will be back!!!!
