Food was ready fast and the man running the show was helpful and energetic. Nice change up from kites food. But don't be fooled, the same staff at kites works here so some of the lower quality employees have made their way over after a year.

The pulled pork sandwich was good but was it was cold. Sampler nacho was okay salsa tasted like it came out of a can. I will not be returning.

Well-run and delicious food. Once the night life starts, they always have the best DJ's and Bands. Whenever I go back, something is new and fresh there.

Rusty's is a favorite for students on the weekends. With two large outdoor patios and two bars, the place can hold a lot of people and are great for big groups.

Decent bar atmosphere. Never had the food. It's a typical stop on a night out.

My friend and I went to Aggieville in costume the night before Halloween since we were going to be out of town Halloween night. We heard that Rusty's was having a costume contest with a substantial cash prize so we went to check it out and was told that it would happen close to midnight. We signed up, left, and came back. We were told it now be closer to 12:30 or 1. Okay, we hung out and waited. 1am rolls around and we're told it be later. As it got closer to last call we were told that it probably wasn't happening that night and would happen the next night. They lied about the time of the contest to keep people in their overcrowded, overpriced bar. I believe this is called bait-and-switch advertising (although, there might be a more accurate name). We both upset by this because we both had very well executed costumes and felt like one of us had a good chance of winning. Did I mention, over priced? At one point in the evening, someone gave me a 10 giftcard. Cool! but it was almost entirely used up by ordering two drinks, one of which was a vodka-water that cost 3!

Literally the worst "bar/grill" in Manhattan (or anywhere for that matter...) that I have had the unpleasantness to drink and/or eat at. When we went there for dinner our food came out cold (some of it even under-cooked), despite the length of time we waited for it, the fries were soggy, our drinks were inconsistent (some were way too strong, some didn't taste like they had alcohol in them at all), and no one seemed to care that we were unsatisfied. Complaints to the bartender were met with a downward glance and muttered excuses. We came back one weekend just for drinks and the door guy was inexcusably rude to my friends and me. Needless to say, I will never be recommending this sad excuse of an establishment to anyone, let alone returning here ever. If you're looking for somewhere local and good to eat and drink in Manhattan, KS, try Taco Lucha, So Long Saloon, Tubby's,or anywhere except Kite's/Rusty's (it's one bar masquerading as two). Kite's/Rusty's is only still open due to it's reputation from days long past. My father (past the age of 55) talks about it being great back when he went to K-State, but the days of this place being worthwhile are long-past, just like my dad's college days. Take my advice and head for somewhere actually worth your time and money, which is not Kite's/Rusty's. *Update: We recently went there because some friends wanted to try Rusty's new "Mexican Grill." Spoiler Alert: Food poisoning.

Service is horrible. Employees are unkind, and there seems to be no one to voice your complaints to.
