We were invited to give Gokizip Korean Restaurant (Malate branch) a visit. We were pretty much given complete access to the place and had it for ourselves for quite some time so we can show you a good look of what to expect of the place. We can't blame you for thinking that Gokizip has nothing new to offer, because after all, Shabu-shabu restos are everywhere. This resto however, offers an authentic Korean experience. Which explains why I became an immediate fan of the hot pot soup. It's really good and doesn't have that \instant noodles\ kind of taste. You have the complete set of what you'd usually expect from such a resto: meat, seafood, veggies etc. All of which can be viewed from the photos that we took from our visit (link below). The grill is run by gas which enables you to boil and cook meat quicker than electric powered grills. Now if you prefer our local dishes, you can have that while staying in one of 20 VIP Rooms upstairs. Their KTV rooms are impressive...especially the Hello Kitty room that we highlighted on this episode. It looks so great that you'd probably rent it even if you're not into KTVs. There's a good chance a videoke room is waiting for you upstairs with your name on it. The crew (including the security guard) are all helpful and friendly. Which is a definite plus and really adds up to the overall positive dining experience. If you're visiting them during peak hours, it would be best to commute since parking space is limited to only around 3 slots in front of the place. You should be able to find a spot though if you're visiting them early morning on a weekday.

I'm a fan of korean bbq, I tried a lot of korean bbq's around malate, but Go kizip has the best tasting meat out there. Side dish needs improvement tho. ;)
