We bought some JPY for our upcoming family trip to Japan. Naturally, we exchanged quite a bit (by our own definition) and Good Rate was able to cater all of our JPY currency needs. The main personnel in-charge even asked his assistant to get additional JPY which may not have been available at other smaller money changer within the same stretch. The personnel was also easy to deal with despite our request to break down our money per family member and family travel fund. Lastly, company name speaks for itself as it was truly a good rate when I compared to other money changers (Selling rate from the money changer's perspective). For example, to get JPY 32,000, we only needed to exchange PhP 15,040 (at .47) when the next best rate should have required PhP 15,328 (at 479), a differential PhP 288 for every 15,000. Multiple that by 10, so almost 3K additional value. In terms of their buying rate, it's comparable to most of the money changers within the stretch .4640, as most rates lie between .4635-.4640 at the time of visit. This stretch is a good spot for forex (just probably go during daylight) since there will be competition amongst money changers to maintain competitive rates.
