Manila, Philippines

Never been happier to see the historic Intramuros opened. I suggest going early though as there was a crowd in the late afternoon to early evening. There are several restaurants opened already, and to make everything faster I suggest you download the Stay Safe App that they all use to let you in the establishments.

Even thou most of the tourist sites museums & the walk along historical wall of Intramuros is still closed ... due to coronavirus restrictions ( Fort Santiago & some of the falls fortifications has reopened since my original post ) It is still interesting to walk around street level to look at the mostly inner historical fortress wall , that were built original to protect Intramuros Plus there is still a few interesting sites , statues & monuments , you can look at You can still take Horse & cart or tricycle tours around the inner fortified ... if you like I’ve now visited & explored this historical part of Manila well over 8 times ( mostly to attend the Philippines Immigration Head Office with Intramuros - & to explore the area more ofter my appointments ) - the photos are from different walk around Plus I’ve done extra reviews & photos , of the individual tourist sites I’ve visited since my first visit - during this time to the Philippines ( I first visited Intramuros , over 20 years ago )
Was here unexpectedly because of a spontaneous invitation from friends... This is my first time visiting this place, and I must say that I was fascinated by the beauty of the structures found inside. I also discovered that there are residents in here and that this place is not just a tourist attraction. The historical aura that the place emanates makes me feel nostalgic even if I wasn't really existing back in the old days. The place is clean, and there are people there willing to help you take group photos for free.
I have studied in one of the schools in intramuros. I have been able to go around the places here. I have also walked around the Intramuros Wall and eaten at the famous WALL restaurants. Check out Barbara's they offer Filipino food here.
One of the great tourist spot in Metro Manila Guardia civil are very strict implementing the wear of masks/faceshields. So you will feel very secured. Also, when you enter one of their museums, you will be asked to download an app for checking if you are qualify to enter the place. There are several guards roaming around. So I guess it is really safe going around there. Good thing, the climate is cold too that time
It's safe to go here again. They have alcohol once you enter and you need to scan their QR code using StaysafePH app for hassle free visit.
A great place for prenup shots and photoshoots. Old but historic. A place where you can reminisce all the past and experience how the life back then.
It is said that they lived here during the Spanish colonial period 400 years ago. But the security here is not very good, and many people around are very annoying, always asking if you need to take pictures. There are also some begging children.
