I've had Mimi's donuts several times and they're always tasty and fresh. However, after purchasing 16 worth of donuts today, I asked for a cup of tap water. They said they could offer me bottled water instead (costs over 2). I said I'd prefer tap water to which they replied that their tap water is from a well and a lot of people don't like the taste so they don't offer it. I told them that I wouldn't mind the taste. They then put another person on the phone to tell me they can only offer me bottled water. I found this to be super unreasonable. The excuse I was given was obviously untrue. It had nothing to do with the taste of the water. It might come as a surprise, but a simple cup of tap water can go a long way with your customers.

Easily some of the best donuts to be had in the Ottawa region. Great flavours and variety, all at reasonable prices. They've adapted well to the pandemic and ought to be supported lest we be stuck only with sub-par Timmies donuts in the future.
grabbed some assorted donuts curbside and they are absolutely delicious.
Gourmet donuts that taste like traditional coffee shop donuts! A lot of “fancy” donut places donuts tastes like cake and not even real donuts - these have all the nostalgia. I also think they have the broadest assortment of flavours in the Ottawa area and their season flavours are amazing and constantly changing! I never made it in for fall but I specifically went for their Christmas flavours and they were impossible to choose just 6! Worth the trip to Manotick - make sure you go early as the flavours sell out! My other pro tip buy is to buy and drop off half a dozen as a birthday or special occasion treat for friends and family for a unique and thoughtful present while supporting local.
Mimi’s is really great! So great in fact, that I went back three weeks in a row after trying them for the first time What I love about Mimi’s donuts is that they aren’t too heavy (which I find is the case with so many gourmet donut shops where if you eat half a donut you need a nap) and they are very reasonably priced! A dozen costs you like 30 including tax (and they are generously sized) The blueberry cheesecake donut and apple fritter are the two best donuts I’ve ever had! The boston creams and raspberry jam are also super filled and delicious! Last weekend I pre-ordered a dozen and they were still warm when I picked them up (I tried one of the glazed when it was still warm and fresh and it was a flavour experience!). Highly recommend Mimi’s if you want some old-fashion homemade donut shop donuts! Pre-ordering is probably a good idea because it allows you to make your own selection!
Mimi's donuts are amazing. Fluffy and flavourful, a cute little shop, and friendly staff. Treat yourself!
To be completely honest to donut I was given was really small. Many 2" across and it cost me 4. It tasted good but not much better than a Timmy's donut. Definitely not worth 1 per bite when a Timmy's one is 1 for the whole thing!
Amazing little donut shop. The shop is very cute and clean. The staff is friendly and helpful when helping me decide what to try. I ordered a dozen assorted yeast and cake donuts and was super happy with them all. They were light, fluffy, soft and full of flavour. The filled donuts and plain classic one were my fave. They're a but pricey, but they're that good. I can't go anywhere else for donuts now. So tasty.
