Rocks and shells, interspersed with a little big of sea sand. Great for toughening up your feet, less great for taking your baby to the beach. Met a nice dog, but I don't think he is always there.

Beautiful beach, scenery and picnic spaces. Lovely day spent during summer, water is just right for a swim.

Awesome beach, Apt beach for giving training in swimming, rowing Check for High and Low tide timings, you enjoy fullest Wash rooms are available around the site and road is narrow, one-way, plan accordingly

Beautiful beach, nice grassy area with trees for shade, rock pools and a playground for the kiddies. Would be 5 stars if there weren't so many shells.

Beautiful area to take in the tranquil atmosphere as well as exercise. Definitely going back with a picnic lunch

Very stony and rough but beautiful beach. Very well maintained picnic spots and lovely homes. Must visit.

Nice place to go for a walk, easy to get round to Maraetai too. Lots of decent picnic spots, bbq's and facilities in the park. Clean beaches, good parking and great views across the harbour to the different islands.

Beautiful day for a walk along the waterfront. Watched the America Cup yachts practising.
