It has been years since I was here and I understand that they are under new management. But I felt the need to leave more details after reading other reviews. To my understanding, this is a PUBLIC (not private) facility. Therefore, it would be my guess that this is a government funded facility. That being said, it was more than adequate. I came in via WellStar Hospital so I only had my personal belongings. I was given clothes to wear and toiletries (toothpaste, toothbrush, soap, a comb, etc..) I was in a room with one other person equipped with a full bathroom. We had three meals a day as well as snacks. Because I was brought in abruptly there were some things I needed help to take care of while I was there and the nurses were OVERLY accommodating. Visitors were allowed during posted hours and we were able to receive and place calls during available times. We were able to go outside (which I HAVE to state, isn't necessarily applicable in all facilities), attend therapy classes and watch tv. I was having trouble sleeping, as I was not used to a roommate, let alone one that snored and I was GIVEN earplugs. Yes, our time was scheduled for us. No the room and board wasn't luxurious. I relate my experience to that of summer camp just a little more regimented. It's not the Ritz and the meals aren't being prepared by Gordon Ramsey but I don't know what the other reviewers who decided to leave negative responses expected. This isn't a private facility. Most of the people are brought here by the state. But you are clothed, you are fed and you are SAFE! Like others have stated, you have to WANT to get better. You have to be ready and able to receive help. If you aren't, no matter where you go, nothing will help.

This place is a lifesaver! Words can't express how grateful we are for all you've done. Thank you all for listening, for caring, and showing genuine concern. Thank God for BHCC & COBBCSB.

Terrible place if you are looking for help. My sister who is legally mentally disabled was sent to this facility by our local ER after she had been homeless and off her medication for several months. After a few days they released her and told her to have a nice day. We are now looking around the facility for my missing mentally disabled sister!

This was the worst experience I have ever had. I was in for detox and they could have cared less. I’ve had a couple of seizures from withdrawals of alcohol . I brought it to there attention and Amber literally told me that i would be ok and what’s one more. The whole staff acts like it’s a joke to be an addict and that the patients are lower than them. It’s all a joke to the staff and it made me feel embarrassed to ask for help.

This place is horrible, the staff and service has been less than adequate. The phones do not work for patients to receive calls. The patient in question stated they did not getting any information from the staff about treatment how everything worked just placed in a room. Has not been given a change of clothes in over 3 days. When asking a question only response is OK I'll get back to you . They said the environment and felt like they were incarcerated. Was given medication to make them sleepy then was told they were not able to sleep in their room. They are paid by head count an keep people way after they should be released . No proper mental health evaluation completed after being there over 72 hours.
