In all honesty, the work load is overwhelming at times, and the job can be very stressful mainly due to the need for additional Deputies. You will definitely earn your pay with this agency. There is a lot of bad press about this agency because that's what our society feeds on. The Deputies work hard everyday and can only do so much. It's difficult to squeeze 15 plus hours worth of work into a 12 hour shift. There are numerous moving parts at the Adult Detention Center, all of which, have to move in unison to accomplish time sensitive objectives. This requires Deputies to step up and not wait around to be asked or told to do something. We make it happen! Is it all good and perfect? HELL NO, nothing is, that's life. People attack us for doing a job that they themselves would not last a day in. It's so easy to criticize from the outside looking in. Cobb County Sheriff's Office has it's issues just like every other agency. It's okay to criticize but do one better, offer a solution to go along with your criticism. That would be beneficial and I believe the Command Staff at that Detention Center would definitely lend an attentive ear. To my Brothers and Sisters at the Cobb County Sheriff's Office be safe, God bless, keep doing what you do well, and improve what you can!

I called to complain on my daughter’s behalf. The msn that answered the call didn’t like what I said. Rather than hearing my concerns, he hung up on me. I would very much like to talk to Colonel Sanders. I realize my daughter screwed up in her life and she keeps doing it over and over again. But she sure doesn’t deserve to be treated like an animal. Having to wear dirty laundry and dirty underwear is unacceptable getting back worn out underwear is unacceptable.

This place was completely hell. They wouldn't give me the medicine I was prescribed by Doctors. I brought my prescriptions with me when I turn myself in. And They still deny me my medicines. Never trust what they say is going on inside this jail. Some officers were nice and did thier jobs. But most ingorne inmates request and were very unconcerning to inmates needs
