Police officer that responded to an accident seen refuse to view and included the evidence provided to determine party at fault (7500) in property damage plus injuries to passengers (2) kids in my SUV. Instead, told us go figure it out with your insurances. I called his Sargent and filed a complaint. Within 2 hours I had an updated collision report with the other party at fault that received a moving violation ticket for causing a collision.
We had 5k worth of stolen items from our store. We had a picture of the 2 men, their license, a stolen credit card and a picture of the tag of their truck. They took about 5 minutes to look up the tag and license and said it wasn't a close enough match to my photo! They said the tag and license were not stolen. Refused to do anything more! yikes! The investigator said we need to \build thefts into our business pricing\. Maybe we should just ignore all thefts and individuals need to \build thefts into our homeowners cost of living\. Expected a lot more for the amount of property taxes we give to the city of Marietta! This is the second time in 5 years with no results. Someone stole 7k worth of items a few years back too with same results!! When our business was in Smyrna their police department was excellent! I think we need to \Move to another district\ to get results. A lot of people say the same thing about Marietta P.D...., maybe Marietta is a jurisdiction with worse problems than little 5k and 7k thefts. I have a THIN BLUE LINE Flag on my jeep.... I support the police tremendously.... LAZY investigators

I interact with Marietta PD on a regular basis and they are top notch. They interact well with our group (a church) and are physically fit and ready to protect if need be. Since they are basically working over time when we see them, they are often at the end of a long day. But even with this, they are cordial and work to represent themselves and their department well.
