I am so grateful to have been referred to Dr. Melamed. Dr. Melamed made me feel safe and confident in the decision to have surgery. He carefully explained all options and recommendations, and took the time to answer my questions. He cares about the total well being of his patients, and he is an excellent surgeon! He kept me informed directly by phone or e-mail, checking in with me to see how I was doing, even to wish me a Happy Holiday! His staff is also very efficient, and caring! Thank you so much!

Dr Melamed is the best!!! At the age of 21 I got into a bad Tae kwon do accident causing me to be in extreme pain 24/7. I had a fusion done in my neck a year later to help with the pain. Unfortunately the pain never went away and started to get worse and started to cause nerve damage. At the age of 22 I had to have a 2nd surgery where I had 3 levels fused and had to get 8 screws put in my neck and 2 cadaver bones. A year later the pain continued to increase and my arms were constantly tingling due to my spinal cord being pinched. I had moved to California and needed to find a new surgeon and after doing TONS of research I’m so lucky to have found Dr.Melamed. Instead of just giving me another fusion at the age of 24 he did research and did a surgery on me that has never been done before. The surgery has completely changed my life and I have not had any pain since. I had very little movement in my neck prior to this surgery and now I have full range of motion in my neck. I am so blessed to be a patient of his and would highly recommend him to anyone! His team was there for me anytime I had a question and were so easy to work with!

Great surgeon, great results, I am finally pain free!! I had chronic lower back pain for years and exhausted every avenue of treatment including physical therapy, and pain shots directly into my spine. Dr Melamed fused 4 vertebrae and I am now active, upright, and going on long bicycle rides. Not a cookie cutter surgeon, he takes his time in the operating room.

Dr. Hooman Melamed provided me with a strong confidence in his expertise and skills from the moment he walked in the door. He was able to give me a hope and understanding of my condition and what was possible far beyond other surgeons and specialists I had been talking to at the time.
