Don’t expect care and compassion from some at this establishment. Also, if you ever need a prescription be prepared to pay an extreme amount out of pocket whether you have insurance or not as they will not provide a suitable alternative. I truly wish they cared more about the patient’s wishes and quality of life as I am very disheartened after the past few interactions. Not everyone there was rude, in fact majority of the staff was very nice and helpful. It is very sad that ONE rotten apple can spoil the barrel. I will not be returning as I would rather drive as far as necessary to another establishment as long as I feel like I will be treated and listened to fairly. I don’t write this review to be malicious but in the hopes that it will open up some eyes so that future patients have a more positive experience than I did. Simply put, do better!

I love these people! The staff are so busy but always make time to greet you with a kind word or smile. Great group of professionals. Most importantly, I want to let everyone know how blessed we Southern Illinoisans are to have Dr Omar! No hype or hyperbole; Dr Omar saved the vision in my left eye! He gave me the best advice and treatment available anywhere and it has paid off! Thank you Dr Omar!

Everyone is very professional at the Marion office. Dr. Hutchison is my regular doctor there. She does an awesome job. They have really cut down the wait time too.

Front desk staff was extremely rude. I called my insurance prior to my appointment to make sure I didn't need a referral and made sure I knew how much my copay would be. I was told I would not receive service unless I paid out of pocket because I needed a referral. Then took me 40 minutes past my appointment time because I had to call my insurance company myself to prove I knew what I was talking about. At least management was nice.

I have to revisit Marion eye center in màriin due to a dying my eye. I hadn't been back in almost 4 years because of the staff the billing staff.I swear I would never go back there because of the billing staff but after 4 years I decided to give him another chance well I will not go back there.. their staff in the billing department and some of the receptionists are still just as unprofessional as they were four years ago. However I did get to make an appointment at the carterville Eye center. And really enjoyed my appointment. So I will continue to be seen at carterville Eye center.
