Lovely walk . Lots of room to social distance, tow path is muddy in places but keep on tow path up to swing bridge in foxton village. Then look for black horse pub . They do the best bacon and sausage cobs and the coffee and hot chocolate is really good too .

Fascinating relic of Victorian commercial transit solutions. The vertical plain boat lift was apparently obsolete shortly after completion but remains an insight into the engineering ingenuity of the age. If you park in the village of Foxton and walk along the towpath you can avoid the parking charges.
Lovely area to walk and experience the beauty of some canal network here in the UK. Part of the Grand Union, Leicester Arm, some great Leicester countryside views. Canalside cafe offering good range of snacks and drinks, just what you need on a winter stroll.
Such a lovely place for a walk, gorgeous views always but looking particularly gorgeous with the Autumn leaves in full swing. If you need refreshment they've got a couple of cafes & a convenience shop full of all sorts!
Built in 1810, Foxton's locks is a flight of 10 locks that raise boats 75ft up the hill from Market Harborough & link the north & south of England by canal. The Grade II* listed locks are a popular tourist attraction with a country park at the top. The Foxton Canal Museum, opened in 1989, is located in a former onsite boiler house.
