Sylvia Chan led my grade 9 students through a very successful one day, oil portraiture, Alla Prima workshop. The students loved the experience and gained valuable technical skill in portrait painting. Some of the skills acquired were: preparing a canvas, developing a colour pallet, developing a composition and numerous painting techniques using various brush types. Sylvia begin the workshop by providing an amazing one hour portrait demonstration followed by one-on-one personalized instruction for each student. The workshop concluded with each student having completed their first Alla Prima oil painting portrait. I’ve uploaded several example of the student's work. These artworks were my student’s first attempt in creating oil portraiture. These works were painted during the workshop, in approximately three hours. I would highly recommend Ms. Chan’s Alla Prima workshop to anyone interested in learning to paint oil portraiture.

She has helped me develop my art portfolio to the best of my abilities and has been extremely supportive and helpful. Great teaching environment for all ages. Teachers really care about promoting personal development and art skills. Email updates are prompt and ongoing, which is especially helpful during this pandemic. The transition to online classes has been smooth, and I highly recommend this school to anyone.
Very horrible people. Sylvia Chan acts all nice but in reality has a very evil personality, sorry for the deep/harsh word, but she was very nice at 1st over the phone but once she met me in person she treated me as if i was not worthy. Had a very rude demeanour towards me.
