The conditions overall are good with shallow water. But be careful if you book in advance and there’s no wind you won’t get your money back for the lessons that didn’t take place, you can just buy some things from the store or get a voucher for another time. Also the communication on whether the classes take place or not was very poor. There is not much around so you should have a car. The beach club is great and serves awesome food! The rooms are very basic and were not very clean in my case.

The lagoon and area is absolutely beautiful with strong and consistent wind so I would return to the area once I'm a competent rider. As an absolute beginner I thought the facilities were fine, mind you I wasn't launching. I struggled learning in 25 knot winds and now I feel like they should have advised me to not kite, they asked me if I was sure but I had no idea what was reasonable and safe, my retort was what do you think? Reflecting back on it it felt like my money was more important but I trusted them as a professional facility and went along. I started on a 7m kite that I could barely control and went down to a 5m kite which I made some progress on. My instructor was friendly and supportive but some of the other staff could use an attitude adjustment. The food and bar staff could do with some improvement and customer service training. My biggest issues were the stinging algae leaving me with massive welts/blisters all over my body (they took a week to fully heal) the thorns trying to walk to the water (which I guess could potentially damage your kite) that area should be free from all debris. They didn't have a wetsuit that fit me properly so I put on my rash guard and board shorts. As a beginner you are dragging through these stinging algae and I feel like the staff should have forewarned me in an email to bring proper attire with clothing suggestions (yoga/surf pants, rash guard or full wet suit). I took a break mid afternoon to return to my bnb to change into yoga pants which did help thankfully but my bod was already thrashed. After riding in Bintan for the last few months I would not recommend this place for beginners they are way better places to learn.

LUCKY THEY HAVE THE PE’AHI BEACH CLUB AND OVERALL SIMONA !! The spot is not bad, flat and very shallow, so i would defenitely recommand it for beginners! Cannot say more about it as we’ve been pretty unlucky with the wind but that’s the game. Rooms are EXTRA BASIC, so what i would recommand the most in that place is the Pe’ahi Beach Club !! The food is EXCELLENT, amazing sunset! The Heart of this place ( according to my experience ), is SIMONA, she has an amazing energy, ans she made EVERYTHING for us to feel good and home and always with heart ! I must say that GIUSEPPE gave us as well always beautiful service and attentions! He’s the most professional and experienced waiter we met there ! Thanks to them, without whom our holidays would have been really different!

I spent some time at the kite school here and had the pleasure of learning from Erika. I went from zero to upwind in a matter of some lessons, and Erika really focused on technique, gave me pointers for other types of conditions, and just made it a great experience overall. Can’t say thank you enough. I also had a single lesson with another instructor, Gesy, who showed me how to do a little jump. All good fun.

Spare rooms, not clean when we got there. very expensive compared to places right next door. The staff was not helpful at all and even got inta a fight with some local kids (we preferred to stay inside while they threatened to kill each other). We had our GEAR STOLEN (some boards and harnesses) during the night while it was supposed to be safe right outside our door and the gates were supposed to be closed. After that the staff wouldn't even help with renting a board at a more convenient price to make our stay a little more pleasant. No place to chill in the shadow near the bar, if yiu wanna chill inbetween sessions you will have to bake under the sun. Oh and the idea of watering the (non-existent) plants during the day making the area a marsh os just brilliant. NOT RECOMMENDED, there are much better options (cheaper, cleaner) in the area.

great school, professional and super friendly. I had a course with Erika and a separate lesson with Andrea. Both instructors did a great job - professional, attentive and positive! Highly recommend.

We had to sleep without bedsheets on the first night, apartment was not fully made. Their apology (SUP hours) hardly made up for that. Apartment not very clean overall. Overpriced half board deal, with not even all items on the list being offered. Some of the staff are friendly and helpful, but not all of them.

Pros: - Very convenient for kite surfers. - Good atmosphere. Cons: - On Friday's , Saturday's and Sunday's the bar of the hotel puts the music very loud which makes it impossible to sleep before 1am. Some of the rooms don't have AC so you have to leave your window open. - There is no daily cleaning in the villas. - Very limited in furnitures.
