I have two children who attend Marshgate School and I couldn't be happier with the education and the community spirit the school provides. The results are top notch but Marshgate School also installs valuable lessons such as respect, kindness and acceptance. There are children from a vast array of countries, cultures and backgrounds which the School celebrates with events such as International Day where the community shares stories and food from across the world. Extra curricular clubs are valued and include music, sport, dance and art. The partnership at Marshgate Primary School between the staff, parents and governors is spot on. Great little school.

I write as a parent who feels both lucky and grateful for the support and excellent teaching and learning provided at Marshgate Primary School. My son started in September 2018 and I have been so impressed with the care given to make ensure he has settled and that he enjoys life in his new school. His progress is really recognised and praised by his class teacher, which is encouraging for him. It is a fantastic and outstanding school with a strong leadership, hard-working teachers and lovely pupils. The Headteacher is very approachable and caring. Most of all, he seems to be enjoying his learning and his general school experience.

Highly recommend this school. Very well led from the top down by an experienced Headteacher who selects amazing teachers, assistants, support-staff and office staff. There is a comfortable, friendly atmosphere for both the children and the parents. My daughter (now in year 7) says, “It is an amazing school and all the teachers are very nice. I appreciate everything the school has done for me.”

I have 4 children ranging from 14, 11, 10 & 6 yrs old. All 4 have or are enjoying their time at Marshgate. My two older children are now at Greycourt. My eldest is in year 10 and doing extremely well. When my second child was in year 3 I moved him to a local school in Ham hoping to cut out the school run. Big mistake! His education went backwards! Lucky for me I got him back at Marshgate within 5 months! All my children are and have done well there. They have great supportive teaching staff & my children are happy.

My 4 children have been through Marshgate from reception to yr 6 and I could not be happier with the school. It is excellently led from the top with a very strong Headteacher, the teaching is fantastic and all 4 of mine (who are all very different) have thrived at the school. There are many opportunities for the children on all fronts - academically, sporting, music and other activities. Although a school with amazing academic results, the children do not feel under pressure and are prepared brilliantly for both SATs and secondary school. I would highly recommend this inclusive, community school to everyone!
