My child has been part of the after school pickup/transit, summer camp and martial arts program. Being high functioning with social/emotional needs, structure/consistency, security, accountability and comfort are extremely important to me, my top priority. The staff work on social skills, self esteem, respect for self and others, work ethic and perseverance. My child is motivated by the staff and none of these things are easy but they have succeeded with flying colors. I really appreciate the team work and motivation about my child's progress and setbacks so we can help them from all sides. MAI North really care about their/our kids, they provide a safe and positive environment. It's extremely difficult to find quality childcare. The care program with the option for martial arts teachings and extracurriculars has been a life changer. Seeing my child succeed is priceless and it's very affordable/competitive.

Our son has participated in both the after-school and summer school programs at MAI for three years. The team at MAI offers a structured program for kids after school (including homework time and a general exercise session), as well ample opportunities for social interaction. They are patient with the children, and they understand that each child performs at a different level. During the summer, there are daily field trips to fun places. We have discovered a few family favorites by learning about the field trip destinations. We are so glad to have found MAI!

We were struggling to find an after-school program for our daughter last year and we were so happy with how professional and welcoming Dave and Andrea made us feel like this was a family run business we wanted to support. Even though we can't be part of their school right now because of COVID-19 they have kept communication open and honest with us. We will definitely be returning when things get back to normal.

My children (tween and teen) and I are very thankful for Master Dave & Andrea’s business — provide fun & superb Taekwondo instruction and well-accommodating childcare programs. (Such programs include their After School with school-pickup services, Summer Camp, and currently Virtual Instruction with Daycare). My family has been members of the Martial Arts Institute—North (MAI) for over 2-years and both my kids are advanced in belt-ranking and have gained noteworthy good character as well! I like how they provide 1 week of free classes to see if MAI-North is the martial arts and/or childcare venue for you and your family. In addition, as a proud father—whom participated in classes alongside my kids and earned an intermediate belt-level, I lost 20 lbs and gained mid-life confidence (not “crisis” ;-) and great quality time with my kids!

This place (Martial arts institute north) is the best martial art school I have been to. This place is cleanest place I have ever attended. I go there currently and I love the place I have seen the after school program and I think they take amazingly good care of the place and kids at the same time. I recommend this place for everyone. ️️️️️
