one of the cleanest and most beautiful beaches of Long Island. They also have lifeguards, you can spend a nice day with your family and friends, have restrooms, a food and beverage store; and has a store to buy clothes suitable for the beach and souvenirs.

Everytime I go back to Long Island I just have to go Smith Point County Park to see this memorial. I grew up at this beach and went here until I moved to Maui in 1992. I miss the long walkway out to the ocean when the beach was about two or three time the distance it is now from the boardwalk. Love this place and find peace walking through the memorial.

So many colleagues lost. It rained, the day we visited. Someone said, the heavens were sharing tears of joy at the sight of us there for them. Such a beautiful place to honor and remember of of the lives of those in Flight 800 ️.

The memorial is hard to get to. But once you do, it's worth it. It's a beautiful memorial!

For who lived that period It's sad, but is really nice place where remember all the victims of the crash. And plus right there is a beautiful beach, and I really big playground for where the kids can I find all day, the only bad thing is the parking lot it's very expenses 18 a day

My kids want to go see it every time we go to Smithpoint Beach. They always read the story about what happened, and then take turns reading each of victim's names. They weren't born yet when this tragedy happened, but they understand and respect the enormity of it.
