Owners are nice. Food is good, decent for the price, but they barely put any meat in their dishes. I even ordered the mabo tofu and there is the tiniest bits of pork, even when I paid extra for extra pork. Or when I order their beef dishes, there's barely any beef in them. What happened to the meat??? Its like a tease. I'm not trying to go vegetarian or limit my meat consumption. Other than that, food is good....went again...and boy is the quality going downhill. So upset

Heard of this place from a friend, and came primarily for their soup dumplings. Ordered : Soup dumplings (8)- 2 orders Shumai(4)- 2 orders Szechuan chicken- 1 order Peking porkchop-1 Mapo tofu-1 Black pepper beef-1 Lo mein-1 It was about 85s. Soup dumplings were delicious and didn't break when I put it on my plate. Shumai were slightly bigger than normal, compared to other dim sum places I've been to. I so wanted to get this too because I was craving for dim sum food! It satisfied my craving for authentic sit down restaurant times. Szechuan chicken on the bone surprised me, it was a dark sauce on it. But tastes good, and soft clean bite. It just didn't look like chicken to all of us. Peking porkchop, just like any other restaurant Mapo tofu- it looked spicy and was. Red sauce shining through! Black pepper beef! This dish was spicy , even though its not red on the menu. There was so much black pepper and maybe the green chili peppers helped in the taste. Overpowered the mapo tofu spice for sure!! Beef tastes good once you get past the peppery-ness. Lo mein- the normal dish that you can't mess up and is a safety in this whole table. No pictures of food, all of us housed the food but would definitely come back again!

WOW!!! Since I’ve moved to Jersey I’ve always been in search of authentic Asian food. I’ve been lucky to have come across a certain few that has been able to bring back memories of my past family dishes. Shanghai Bun dishes is truly authentic. The staff was very helpful and patient. The food came out promptly and for a reasonable price. I can’t wait till this weekend to try the dim sum and Soy bean dishes. This place is a must try.

Absolute "go to" for authentic NYC Chinatown style cuisine! Have been coming here for years and will be continue for many more. Noodles and pot stickers are made on premises by hand and always fresh. Both menus are delicious (i.e. the traditional Chinese and "Americanized" menus). Food is extremely fresh and flavorful. I've only tasted similar when I've eaten in NYC Chinatown, but who has time to travel to Canal St!

I love this restaurant's food, it's really good. I'm not fond of very spicy Chinese food, this restaurant provide mild flavor as well as spicy option. Shanghai fried rice is good option to order, and if you like salty sweet flavor, you can order eggplant with garlic sauce. Soup dumpling was ok. I'll try different dishes next time.

I was a huge fan until i started ordering their chicken. It's usually undercooked and the cheap sauce hasn't even settled. Not to mention the very low amount of said chicken. They seem to have good pork and rice. But the chicken has been disappointing. 3 stars for the rice.

My girlfriend and I love this place! However, since Covid you can only get takeout. And the soup buns aren’t that good unless they are fresh out of the kitchen! Definitely wait until you can sit inside!

Probably the best chinese food in Central New Jersey. Good value, excellent food.
