Nice place for weekend fun with family & friends

It's an entry point to the Matheran points. Train traveling over here is awesome, yeah it is slow but you can enjoy the scenery. Good place for photoshoots, there are some place which are specially built to take the photos (background) Here you can get a water tank, their fill up your bottles, because once you go inside, it will be difficult to find a water. Ticket fare 45(for adult).
If you really want to enjoy Matheran, then must go for 1day stay. If you have time, go by walking from Dasturi naka to Matheran Station, you will loved it. Every point is around 40min. away from each other. You can negotiate for horse for 5points at Rs.250 from Matheran station.
Unique toy train station. But the station needs an overhaul. Also tidiness needs to improve as this is a tourist place with ecotourism it's selling point.
Matheran railway station is the last station of Neral-Matheran toy train. It is a central point of Matheran, from there you can go to various beautiful points. There is selfie point, which shows I ️ Matheran. Around station the main market is there. Also area surrounded by hotels & shopping outlets.
The ticket counter guy was trying to do fraud with me.. he returned me 100 instead of 200.. however quickly I got that and asked for my money!! So be aware!

Matheran, lovely place to visit with friends specially in winters & rainy season, echo point, monkey point, sunset point, lot of places to enjoy, must go with friends
