Got ours to go, all the food taste great. Only thing Is that the Rack o' Ribs is a bit over cooked, there more like jerky..great flavor just overcooked.
Great place! A nice family atmosphere. Just had dinner with my wife there. The service and the food was terrific! Be sure to save room for dessert, they have a mile high cake that you need to try. Mmmm!
HD's is excellent. The pit beef sandwich is the best I've ever had and the ribs are perfect. ( Ask Robbie to sub the sliced sirloin for the pit beef sometime. Really good.) But better than that are the sides especially the incredible mac n' cheese, the baked beans and the green beans. Finish it off with a slice of the peanut butter pie and you won't be disappointed. Thanks to the amazing Sorey family for creating this wonderful addition to the Mathews community. Well done.
This is a true hidden gem. The Smokey Joe Burger is worth the 45 minute drive from my house all by itself and my wife said that the Texas Cheesesteak was one of the best sandwiches she has had. Make the drive, get the hushpuppies. You won't be disappointed.
