My daughter has been attending drum lessons with Matt for just over a year. The lessons are 1:1 and she has come along very fast with them and has passed two exams so far with Distinction and Merit. Matt is a working musician and has a great rapport with his students. He concentrates on the genre of music that the student enjoys and tailors his lessons accordingly. It's very obvious that he has such enjoyment from his drumming and enthuses his students. He also is not pushy regarding exams like some teachers. Although I'm sure I could find a teacher nearer to where I live, I happily make the longish journey weekly as my daughter is very happy and settled. I highly recommend.

My son loves his drum lessons with Matt and is now working hard towards his grade 3 exam. Matt is a great teacher and fills our son with enthusiasm. I doubt we could find a better teacher.
Matt delivers his tuition with an engaging style that brings the best out of his students. He has a great grasp across all musical spectrums and is able to adapt his approach accordingly. I would strongly recommend Matt.
