The reason why I love Mattituck Laurel Library is because They have old computers and stuff, and They even have new computers too, I wish I can come here someday, Sure, I would love to bring my parents and siblings here.

Moved out to Jamesport a little over 2 years ago. We border Laurel. Mattituck-Laurel is the closest library to us, though we are technically in the Riverhead mailing district. Children's Department has some great programs, and is a pleasant environment for children. I have tried to get involved in this library numerous times because it is so much closer to me. However, when trying to rent a movie or take out a book, register for a program, staff is extremely snooty when you do not belong to Laurel-Mattituck township. I don't really understand it. It is often also very loud when trying to get work done on the computer. I am saddened to say I have had a much more all-around better experience at the Cutchogue Library, only 3 more minutes down the road. They are farther away from me but much more accepting, friendly, and inclusive. Highly recommend using that one instead if you have a similar situation to myself. As a child, the library was one of my favorite places to be and it should still feel like that for anyone who wants to be involved.

Back in the mid 90s, my first exposure to the Internet *ever* was at this library. It remains a special place.
