Absolutely the WORST court I’ve ever had the displeasure going through. They NEVER answer their phones. Just a complete poor excuse of a court system. Not an ounce of professionalism that I’ve ever received from anyone at this court. Literally ANY other court is 10000x better than this small town court. I am completely astounded that it gets away with the things they do. All around terrible. My boyfriend who is in a legal battle with his mother, was told by one of the ladies at the front desk, that he had no business disrespecting his mother like that, my boyfriend responded “Are you even allowed to say that to me?” They responded by saying they would call the police if he didn’t leave and to make matters worse, the unprofessional woman and my boyfriends mother are friends! In other words completely biased and never held accountable. Like I said worst court and very unprofessional staff.

This was my first time with any 'criminal' charge –speeding on I-17 –so I had no idea what expect. I was probably fortunate in that there were only about 6 other people waiting to appear before the judge that morning (they told us that it's normally 'standing room only') so the judge had time to address us individually. I was relieved to find that I was allowed to explain the circumstances, and it seemed to make a difference –my fine was 280 and I understand it could have been much higher. Whatever you do, if you have to appear before a court like this, be sure you drop everything and crawl there if you have to in order to show up; otherwise you'll REALLY be in trouble, as we were told over and over. The rich just send their lawyers.

The clerk was helpful & kind. I really appreciated the quick help she provided and her pleasant attitude. And, I got to see the charming little town of Mayer. It was like I had stepped back into the 1800's! It was lovely!
