This is probably the worst post office I’ve ever had to deal with. I am constantly getting others people’s mail/packages. My mail doesn’t get delivered for weeks. Packages saying they are delivered but never delivered or even attempted. Notes left saying they attempted to deliver but no one was home when there’s someone at my house at all times. Can never answer their phones. This will be the second time I have to go down to the office to retrieve my package. Our lady before was okay, but our new lady is absolutely terrible. So frustrating

We have had a lot of issues getting our mail delivered. Packages left on the ground by the mailbox, packages delivered days late, paper mail arriving weeks after the post date, the mail carrier honking the horn the entire way up the driveway, I could go on. But what has really frustrated us is that a package was jammed in the door between the screen and regular door and it broke the screen door. When I called, the supervisor is completely denying that it is possible that this happened. She came out, looked, and is sticking to the mail carrier’s story that she didn’t close the door all the way. When I pointed out that the package was not wet after it rained, meaning that she had to have closed the door hard, and pointed out that she left the paper mail in the door as well, which included a check, the supervisor said the carrier did this as a kindness since it was raining. Okay, but it is not kindness to break the door, lie about whether you closed it, leave paper mail in the door, and then refuse to accept any kind of part in what happened. The supervisor is saying there is no way the carrier could have broken it and that they are not going to do anything. So we have to eat the cost of fixing it and the worst part is that there is no other way to get mail except to go through this post office. So frustrating. I hope there is some sort of accountability at some point and that these things stop happening.

This is the fourth or fifth time I've had issue with this post office/carrier not delivering my packages correctly. The most recent, last week, she left a pair of shoes sitting on the road underneath my mailbox. I am now being told by the seller (and tracking number) that another pair I ordered were delivered, although I have yet to see them. I've tried talking to a supervisor, but she's never available, and won't return my calls. This carrier apparently sets her own schedule a she is apt to show up as late as 8:00 PM, as well a on Sundays because she didn't do her deliveries on Saturday. The last package I had issues with was never delivered to my address, but because it was only about 6 and the seller (on EBay) refunded my money, i let it go. Well, i am done letting things go where this post office is concerned! DO YOUR JOB! Update one year later: Still constantly delivering my packages to the wrong address, and you can NEVER get anyone to answer the phone at their location. Horrible service from both the carrier, and the manager at this location.

I LOVE my local McCalla Post Office folk! When I go in to the counter I'm treated with courtesy, and they're always helpful. Mail delivery at the house is reliable, and when I occasionally see my mail carrier, she is always friendly.

Always have a problem getting packages from them. Love getting a notice that something needs a signature only to see on the box that its not required. OR my favorite...attempt to deliver and some crazy reason they couldn't ...yet my camera shows no one ever attempted to ring the door. Then to add..your hours suck so it becomes a nightmare trying to make it up there in time to get my stuff.

Want to have your stuff either lost or stolen? Go ahead. Don't expect any employee here to be honest or take any responsibility either. Can't say I'm surprised though, this is USPS afterall. The incompetence here is a complete joke. Oh and if you have an issue, the post master will say one thing then do another. And change her story the whole time. Essentially try to lie her way out of it instead of actually doing her job.

I had 21 packages to send and the guy was so helpful . When he had a free moment he even came out to the car and brought a load in.

Horrible experience. I started doing business with this one because the Bessemer post office felt that because I "receive a lot of packages" that they can just help themselves and keep stuff for themselves. This post office wasn't much better. I had a paid PO box... and of course, the employees would CRAM items and break them, stuffing the box instead of using a locker. The clerk had behaved poorly to me, so I closed my box. Later, my brother closed his, because this post office decided that they would treat him like garbage too. If I'm not mistaken, the same clerk I had trouble with, raised her voice with him. Of course, nobody at customer relations, no postmaster ever cared. Pick a different parcel carrier, because at least you'll get your money's worth, instead of being treated like a criminal.
