It’s a great place for a swim went during the summer with my buds. Wish I would’ve brought my camera.
This is a great place to come for solitude as you will likely have it all to yourself. That being said, be sure to bring a stick to clear spider webs so you don't walk face first into a bunch like I did, especially if you go in the morning the hike to the water is less than a half mile and you can loop back and also visit the rock while down there. There are a few historic houses at the entrance that you can see also. Very peaceful place.
My family absolutely cherishes this peaceful spot. It's a passive park, which means there are no staff here, NO BATHROOMS, and no amenities other than the park and scenery itself. That being said, this is a gorgeous place with a short hike down an old carriage path and then another short hike down a forest trail to Reedy Fork Creek and/or the Bold Moon boulders. There are animal tracks abounding, mushrooms, clams, wild birds, and the river itself is so serene and beautiful. You'll probably have the place to yourself.
Very nice space a quick hike only a few hours on the trail. It's a hidden gem.
Awesome place!
Close to my house use to hunt all over it we had land very close to it
