Best local bar in the area. It’s a small spot, no frills. And that’s the charm. There’s no sandwich in the state, or maybe the country that can match the Schmitter. The vibe of sipping a 4 McNally’s lager and watching some football at the bar eating that sandwich is unparalleled. True friends take their friends to try this.

Excellent homemade food. Soups are great Chicken cheesesteaks unbelievable. The owners were right there and so accommodating while the outdoor awning was being constructed so that they can serve people outdoors in this upcoming winter. And the Chocolate cake. Thank you and we will be back!!
The Schmitter was tops on my list to try while I was in Philadelphia and I was not disappointed. The street side seating was fun, even though it was fall and a bit chilly. The cake was rather normal though, just sheetcake with some frosting on top.
