I scheduled an appointment to have a transmission recall taken care of on our 2017 Explorer. I was assured that it would take no longer than 30 to 40 minutes. My appointment was at 11am 11/23/20 and I did not leave Midway until 1pm and that was without my vehicle. They also knew I was waiting for the vehicle with my three children as I had other appointments that day. I was never notified that is was going to take longer than the original schedule nor was I made aware that they were addressing other recalls. I had to go to the counter and ask about the status 3 different times and got the run around each time. I also found out that the technician that was working on it left at noon for lunch instead of finishing my vehicle before he left. I had to obtain a loaner vehicle just to make it to my other appointments. I was finally called around 1:15pm letting me know that my vehicle was finished. After picking up the vehicle and making it back home I noticed that all the seat cover clips on the driver’s side were all unfastened. Apparently the other recall had to do with de-burring the seat track. Not only did this take three times longer than scheduled, it was not completed. It seems to me like there is an opportunity for more training both with the technician and the service writers.
