Before it used to be a seasonal tent put during Ramadan month and Hajj period. But now Madinah Municipality decided to put a structure for these shops as a permanent one. Item sold here includes Dates of various varieties, Hijab or Burqa or Abaya, Salve or Head scarf, Arabic male dress, Skull cap, Kids dress, Musallam of various varieties, Toys, Perfume or Scent or Athar, Comfort Blankets, Ladies costume, Key chains, Soveners, Handbags, Spices, Bracelet, Surma, Purse items, Quran, Bangles, Watches, Stones, Rings, Islamic decorative items, Counting beeds or Tasbihs, etc. All these are available at Bargain rates. Items available from Saudi Arabian Riyal one to hundred or more. Only cash purchase is possible. Mostly the shops are run by Bengalis, Indians, Pakistanis, Afghanis, Yemenis, etc.
