Best birthday trip ever!!! Chuck and the rest of the guys were great! The horses were well trained fed and watered. The view from atop the mountains was a lovely touch

The hour walk was actually 45 minutes of the slowest you could possibly make a horse go. Barely walked a mile. You could seriously walk faster. Do not waste your money. The horses were very well trained.

Best experience on a horse. Guides were awesome. Beautiful country side.

My son sent me a satellite message last night that he was butchering a bull and needed a horse at nine the next morning at the trailhead. I called the number given for Meeker, and was transferred to the Meeker boss's cell at 7:00 am. He was asleep, in bed at home, on vacation. I apologized profusely, but \Chuck\ said it was OK, and he would take care of it. His wife called a short time later and confirmed that the horse would be there. My son said it was the biggest horse he ever rode, nothing phased him, and he packed the whole elk out in one trip. They are sticklers on feed and water.

My wife and I flew out to Meeker to rent 3 horses from Sombrero. We coordinated with Misty who put us in contact with Chuck at the stable. Chuck was super helpful and always answered or returned calls. After we drove from Denver to Meeker to stay the night, we met AJ and our healthy & gorgeous horses at the ranch. AJ answered any questions and got us squared away with paperwork and shuttled the horses to the Flat Tops for our adventure. He helped us load up and get on our way as well, providing weather updates and other tips. He returned promptly on the pick-up day after our 4 days out in the wilderness. Everyone was a pleasure to deal with, and we'd recommend Chuck, AJ, and Sombrero out of Meeker/White River to anyone! We hope to get back again soon ourselves!
