As other reviewers have noted, surprisingly good dining experience. Most importantly for a hotel restaurant, doesn't feel like one! Dining area is well appointed, warm lighting and ambience, while being intuitively distinguished from the reception area. Food portions were impressively generous, creatively presented and well cooked. Had the pork belly and wife had barramundi. Neither of us were disappointed.

Great location in cbd attached to Mantra hotel. Free off street parking after 8.30pm. Great food and good value with the Fork 50% discount. Good service.

We just had the best Friday lunch here! Their Express menu is great value however an absolute highlight was the service. We were served by Bree M - who was SO lovely, and so accommodating! Thank you!

When I think about Alibi it reminds me that sometimes restaurants can have bad days. The time I went was just that, I think they were just having a bad day. The food came out relatively slowly and uncoordinated, some of our orders were missed entirely and we were only informed they were out of fish after everyone had finished their mains. Honestly, I could say this place is the worst, but I trust that this doesn't happen often as the staff seemed very frustrated themselves and were as accommodating as they could be. The food itself was pretty good, with a decent sized menu to choose from as well. Hopefully the next time I stop by everything will be running smoother and I can change my review to a 5 star one.

Service was great. Our waitress was terrific! However the steak wasn't cooked to medium rare as ordered but as rare, so was harder to eat. The prawns with the steak were undercooked and wasn't pleasant. The pasta was simple but good. The pork neck skewers were yum as were the cod croquettes! Unfortunately the lamb shoulder was a miss.

The meal was quite small in size, but for 19 maybe that's why. Salad was only two or three ingredients, and chips tasted of fish. Steak was cold when I got it, but appreciate they were serving a large crowd so that would have contributed. Meals came out very sporadically and staff appeared a bit disorganised doubling back and forward and bumping into each other. All in all, just OK.
