This one star review is completely deserved and earned by Legacy. I signed a contract summer of 2019. I wanted a slide with rock work like I had built at my previous house. They talked me out of a fiberglass slide to let them build me a concrete slide. Turns out they have never built a slide before and I was their guinea pig and it is a disaster. The whole building process was a nightmare. The angle of the slide is all wrong causing a person to be thrown onto the side and if you've ever fallen on a concrete sidewalk then you can imagine the pain involved when going down the slide. They tiled the slide surface making it incredibly painful for skin to slide over, and there are sharp edges at the end of the slide. They broke the sidewalk on day one and never repaired it. The finish was so bad that I have shoe prints in my pool from the installers. I received lien letters from their subcontractors because Legacy was not paying them. I was constantly given excuse after excuse after excuse and promise after promise after promise. I was honestly impressed with how a company can come up with so many excuses to NOT do what they promised. I have a year and half of email exchanges back and forth. The last email exchange was a promise to repair the slide to make it functional and safe and as usual I have been ignored. This has been an exhausting, traumatic experience and I am warning others be very very careful.

AM I SATISFIED WITH LEGACY POOLS? YES, I AM Estimated time to build a pool, 16 weeks. However, sometimes, thigs happen. In our case, Covid happened and sure it affected the timeline. But customers don't care about it. Customers just want a pool to jump in. It is hard to understand how things work from the business owner perspective, It is hard to run a business. Nevertheless, there is something very powerful a business needs to have to succeed, its employees. From Keith to Sonia, Tom, Mike, and Eddi; it was a pleasure to work with everyone of them, Thanks guys, you are doing an amazing job. My pool is almost done, there are a couple things here and there to be 100% finished but we are very please with the result. Thank you very much Legacy Pools, wish you guys the best

I have to say our experience with Legacy was great. I know when you make a huge investment in a pool and things are not progressing as fast as you planned it can be hard not to get agitated. Although our project was not completed at the planned schedule time, the team at Legacy did their best to keep us informed every step of the way. Just remember the company maybe dealing with unforseen circumstances. I dealt with a significant delay on my project, but in the end my family and I ended up with gorgeous pool thanks to Legacy and their team. From the start to the finish, the Legacy team was a pleasure to work with. The end product was worth the delay. Big shout out to the team at Legacy pools. Keep up the good work and continue to strive to be better as you grow.

We signed our contract in May 2020 and after almost 9 months it’s still not complete. We do however have a big pile of dirt that they seem unable to remove and pool of green muddy water from a pump that been running the last two weeks. I have no idea when they will be back. The last time we spoke they said if more supplies get delivered to our house that’s when we would know they would be back. I feel like Walter Fielding in the movie the Money Pit when Shirk brothers showed up and said “ Your number came up in the drawing this morning. We work today!” I’m just happy when someone shows up to do anything. **Update** 2/1/2021 It’s been two weeks since my review about our pool construction and there have been some developments. The weeds on our unmovable dirt pile are getting taller and the pool of muddy water and our deck are getting greener. It truly is a Legacy..... **Update** 2/2/2021 A few trucks showed up to remove the dirt, but since they put the pallets of finishing material in front of the unmovable dirt pile, they left. Although this sucks, I’m just glad someone finally showed up to do something even though they didn’t do anything and left. It’s progress!! **update** 3/11/21 So the dirt is finally gone and we can swim in our pool. The vacuum line doesn’t work and the cover is missing of the bottom drain of our pool. The plumber has been MIA for the last month to fix our vacuum line, so he must have the cover to our pool drain. I really think Legacy is trying to go for a full year to finish this pool since May would be our anniversary. Besides my marriage this is the longest relationship I’ve been in.

Things started out great with Legacy. The designer and the selection expert were both great. But ever since work started it has been a nightmare. We are now 6 months into a 4 month pool build and don’t expect to be swimming for another 3 months. They are incapable of managing their pool builds because they continue to take on more work than they can handle. I’m embarrassed that I recommended them to my neighbor.

First I’d like to say that we love our pool that legacy built for us. Legacy was the only company that we could get out here and give us a quote so we went with them. We signed our contract in December of 2019 and the dig date was February 2020... of course their goal was 16-20 weeks but our original project manager explained to us that there’s usually delays. 16 -20 weeks was the goal without any delays and every time it rains it can throw off a schedule by 3 or so days, and to plan on more like 6 months. We hoped it would be done by 20 weeks but we stayed patient and followed along. Covid hit just weeks after our dig so of course there were delays. Companies were shutting down left and right and then the legacy office staff was working from home so there were some communication issues for a little while but that’s expected, it was new to us and it was new to them. I learned to reach out to our project coordinator with any questions and she was very helpful getting things arranged since the project manager was busy in the field. In the end, our pool was filled 6 months and 1 day from the day they dug it. In my opinion that’s right on schedule from how our project manager explained it. I think if they explained it like this to everyone then there would be a lot more happy customers and pleasant experiences. Overall we were very happy with the experience we had.

We contracted with Legacy Pools just when Covid hit. Yes there were some delays but in the end we have the most beautiful pool. What we liked was the quick responses to all of our inquiries, their honesty and professionalism. They had great crews, all of them respectful and good-natured. We were most impressed with the videos that they sent us that identified the next steps in the process and what to expect. We worked with the whole Legacy team but most closely with Keith, Sonya, Thomas, Melissa, and Eddie. Eddie was our pool instructor. He’s very dear with a positive attitude and always willing to help. He followed up on all his commitments. And we know when we call him he will respond. We have one suggestion and that would be to provide the customer with a pool operation/maintenance manual for future reference. Wishing the entire team at Legacy Pools much health, happiness and continued success. Our best, Carol and Andy Loconto

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY!!! First of all, I love my pool! I had the privilege of working with many of the Legacy team. Most closely, I worked with Sonia, Mike, DJ, Thomas, and Eddie. Eddie was my pool school teacher and did an incredible job. More importantly, he has been there consistently with follow-up visits and assistance when I needed it. He's a true professional. His energy is over the top and he's someone who truly loves his job and excels at taking care of his customers. That having been said, every employee that I came in contact with was great to work with, however, it's my opinion that the owner took on much more business than they were able to handle with current staffing. I was promised that the pool would be a 12-16 week project. Instead, the project took them 8 months to complete. This is no fault of the employees, but rather the owner. Management and leadership starts at the top. Everyone was spread too thin and they were working diligently to take care of me as best as they could given the circumstances. Do I regret using Legacy? Not for a moment. However, I believe they should stand behind the fact that they build an incredible pool and just be honest about how long it is going to take to complete your dream pool. This starts at the top! You won't be disappointed unless you're expecting your pool to be done in a short period of time. Again, my thanks and gratitude to the team, and a special shout out to Eddie for being there to help make the process a much better experience. Thank you, Doug Hann
