Good doctor. Took care of my back and didn’t push meds. Had my procedure on a Thursday and started feeling significant relief by the weekend. Recommend this doctor.

Worst place I have ever been to the staff is the worst I was set to have a spinal stimulator I set the day almost 2 months in advance they had all my medical record's knew my whole history I showed up at 730 am they hooked me up to an iv and put me in a bed the people from the company that the stimulator where there after about 10 min of being on the iv they asked me if I had any allergies I said yes there in my records and you have them so again they asked can you just tell us what they are so I told them pennicilin an adavan right away she makes a call and tells me they can not do the procedure because I am now a risk because of my allergies they knew this before they hooked me to the iv someone did not do there job and I and ed up with an infection where they placed the iv they sent me home and that was 3 weeks ago and I have never heard from them again I am in extreme pain all the time and they could care less no phone call no letter they could care less about me but I would bet they sent a bill for the iv I have given this doctor quite a few co payments and now I must start all over with a new Dr my advise would be stay away from this Dr there is no comunication between Dr and staff very scary

Dr. Dowdell seems knowledgeable however, I went there after my back hurting unbearable. I could not even sit up and had taken to my bed. During my first apt. the first thing he did was cut my pain meds. I had been on for 12 yrs, had decreased my dose myself throughout the years. Now I am in agony and he cuts it and makes me an apt. Well it took three weeks for the apt. and you don't cut meds when someone is hurting to the extent you can't get out of bed anymore. I had to take pain meds just to make the apt. Finally, almost a month later, I get the injections in my back, (did it regularly in the past). After receiving them, they wore off after a few hours. Then I was told, it works so we know if we burn your nerves, it will work. Well, I told him other drs. wanted to burn my nerves and since I have had bladder cancer and know someone that had their nerves burnt and did not have cancer, now wears a bag to pee in and I was not interested in that procedure at this time, Just wanted the regular injections, which I did not get and was never told. So, I suffered needlessly for more weeks after first coming in, only to have my pain meds decreased and having to wait for injections that were not the kind I thought I would get. Just short term ones. Go if you want your pain meds decreased before you even get relief. He does know what he is doing as far as that goes but I have NEVER misused my meds and was in a terrible state when I saw him only to be put off for almost another month and then not get the injections I expected and had my meds reduced. Staff was friendly. After waiting for my apt. so long, showed up in Rockledge, no one there. Receptionist made mistake and scheduled me for Palm Bay office...... Make sure your getting the shots you want and not being forced into a procedure you don't feel comfortable with. Doesn't Dr. Dowdell realize that people don't go get spinal injections unless they are REALLY hurting? Will not go back.

This place is a giant joke have torn disc and bulging discs in my neck and back and pretty much got told drink water and stretch
