I can’t believe I am having to deliver this message via social media. In one of the most difficult times in my life, there has been absolutely no customer service. My family purchased 6 plots 50 years ago. 4 of them are occupied. Most recently my father passed away; his request was cremation and not to use his plot. I have called 4 times in the past 2 months to get information on the location of the 2 open plots to begin the reselling process. I have had the unfortunate experience to talk to “Heather” each time; only to promise me to get pictures and descriptions for me. She has not ever called me back nor have I received one email with the information she promised me to get. I am 4th generation business owner and I can tell you that if I knew one of my employees was delivering this horrible service, ultimately my business would suffer. Lucky for this type industry, this will always be a needed service and they will probably not lose business because of my review. But what a disgrace to my great grandparents who were “planners” and only wanted to help their loved ones they left behind with a smooth experience. My family was well known in Memphis back in their day, and I am sure they would have never been treated this way!

We are not religious at all but you have to respect the dedication and artistry here. We spent about an hour walking around the cemetery after visiting the grotto enjoying the peacefulness.

I recently lost my father. The employees at Memorial Park Funeral Home & Cemetery were all very caring and compassionate. Kyle Pete assisted me with the details and made me feel at ease with the process. He was very thoughtful answering my questions and kindly fulfilled my requests. I highly recommend this business to anyone who may need their services.

BEWARE OF THEFT HERE!!!! My husband and family buried his 91 year old mother yesterday (November 2, 2020) at Memorial Park Cemetery, and we had only family members at the graveside service. While we were all mourning and speaking heartfelt memories of our mom-grandmother-great great grandmother-aunt-great aunt, someone broke into my daughter’s car and stole her purse, driver’s license, iPhone, and key-fob. the crooks immediately attempted to charge 1,000 at a nearby Kroger even before the little service was dismissed, but the Fraud Dept. at her bank flagged and denied the charges. Police came out, made a report, and we notified the Memorial Park office, whereby they admitted it had been a big problem there for awhile. We then found out that our niece’s wallet and driver’s license had been stolen as well...as she’d parked in front of my daughter’s car. The crooks actually did get 3,000 from her business account, and she’s having to spend the morning at the bank to try and retrieve her money...a red tape experience for sure. This morning I heard from an acquaintance of mine that his wife had had her car broken into at the same cemetery in 2018 and her purse was stolen as well. They actually smashed her car window to get it. There is a BIG theft problem at the Memorial Park Cemetery, and people need to be aware of this!! If Memorial Park knows their patrons’ graveside services are being compromised this badly, why would they not have a security guard posted at each graveside service?? This is “extreme negligence” on the part of Memorial Park...a huge, long-time establishment...and they need to do a better job of protecting these graveside service!!
