First...let me say that I have not eaten them yet. Ordered in January...called last week as I had not received my order...was told that someone would call me back this weekend after repeatedly asking me if I had received anything and telling me that they had been worming very hard...Nope...then I received an email yesterday 4/21/21 that they had been delivered. First let me say...opening that box is magical and mystifying. Each box of turtles was packaged inside of a Styrofoam pack that was vacuum sealed and contained three ice packs. Even though they were on my porch overnight they were ice cold when I opened them....and when I opened them..they were huge..not uniform...and you could tell...hand packaged..not put together by a machine...but by someones aunt or uncle...nothing but LOVE...I respect that level of commitment in these days and times and understand why his huge number of orders took so long....seeing the size if these gave me a new found respect for Phillip Ashley and his team. I simply cannot wait to enjoy them with a nice glass of wine. If you are thinking about cancelling like I almost did...do not...small businesses need the support and when you see the level of time and love placed into your order...I know that I sincerely appreciated it...cannot wait to taste. The lack of star is for the delay but the communication was excellent.

I ordered chocolates in November 2020 and I didn't receive them until March 2021!!!! Like many, the delay was loooong. But that is not the main story I want to leave you with. They were swamped with orders and I appreciate that. Yes, the customer service/communication could have been better. BUT I am rating the product. These chocolates are UNBELIEVABLY DELICIOUS and very beautiful to look at. I would definitely order again. Hopefully, the wait won't be as long next time!

Great product! impeccable packaging, and overall a wonderful handcrafted chocolate... Would have been a 5 out of 5 but due to delays ( and yes I understand why) Let me say the company for-sure made up for the wait and look forward to making another order in the coming months!

Can I give less that one star? I ordered the turtles on December 21, 2020. I was looking forward to them. Shortly after ordering, I received an email stating the candy would be delayed as they were overwhelmed with orders after appearing on Oprah's favorite things and ABC's Nightline. The email stated I would get my order in January. I was so happy to hear about the success and did not mind waiting a little longer. After that first email, I received three more emails asking for my patience. I didn't worry about it, as I understand he has to fulfill these orders, stocking his store and keeping up with tastings. Periodically, I would check the status of my order. Upon checking this last time, I discovered a UPS tracking number had been assigned to my order. I got excited when I saw that, however, the excitement was short lived. I looked to see when the tracking number had been pulled...March 1, 2021. It is now April 26, 2021. At this time, shipping is almost impossible as the weather is getting warmer and chocolate should not be sitting on a UPS truck awaiting delivery. I just want my money back. I don't want or need anymore excuses. Just give me my money back.

Gorgeous to look at, unbelievably delicious chocolates. I know Phillip Ashley Chocolates got slammed with orders (7,000 of them overnight) after the ABC News story about them. Scaling that fast has got to be tough for any small business, but these chocolates are worth the wait. They were a gift, and arrived a week and a half later than planned (apparently), so plan accordingly for the time being. But they've staffed up, so I'd anticipate a smoother delivery process in the future. The flavors are varied and exotic, and every one of them has so many different notes. Do yourself a favor and buy these chocolates for yourself at least once! "Wonder Woman" is my favorite. My teenager loves "Burlesque."

Worth the wait, and I’d say worth the calories but each little bite manages to transcend the concept of food energy. The flavors are creative, the execution is flawless, and each piece looks like a polished gem and should be revered as such. Prettier and more fun than the after-dinner chocolates you get at Per Se in NYC. Did I go too far? Probably not. And I have yet to even try his infamous turtles - too busy exploring the crazy menu and limited releases of his designer chocolates. Can’t wait to see what experiments come out of that kitchen next!

We bought Phillip Ashley chocolate after the David Muir support local business special last December. Admittedly, we were frustrated with the delays in delivery but we’re understanding of the influx of orders and the growing pains of a small business. We waited patiently. Well let me tell you it is worth the wait. The best damn turtle we have ever experienced. And it is an experience. We have ever intention of sending the out to friends and family with the understanding of the time it takes to make a truly exceptional product. Thank you and enjoy the wonderful goodness.

I placed my order on 12/15/20 and still have not received them. I too got the text message stating it had been shipped but reality is only the label was created it has been about 30 days since I got the text and there is no movement on the package. I have tried calling to no answer and sent an email and was assured it was being processed. I am happy to see people are getting them after long periods of time but it is concerning to see people get them that ordered them after I did. Will I ever get them or do I need to ask for a refund.
