Three guys from Michigan just spent three days hunting with the crew at Plaska. First time there. Nothing but expert service from the hunt to the lodge accommodations. Great meals and excellent hunting. Both owner and guide are very professional and fully understand the world of guiding for a great hunt. Blinds were awesome. Detail of the hunt even went down to ensure we had the correct setup depending on weather, wind, species, etc.. Will definitely return. We are experienced hunters from Michigan but it’s nice to hunt a different region of the USA and have experts in the area teach you the local hunting ways! Troy Tooker

Just returned from taking our boys- 14yo and 12yo to Plaska Lodge for a ram hunt. We arrived early and were met like old friends. After a brief look around the lodge and some quick paperwork we were out on the ranch and hunting. We were spotting/stalking and had covered a fair amount of ground when our guide got a call that another guide had spotted some Catalina about a mile from us. We scampered over to meet up with that guide and after another 15 min or so my boys were able to make a couple of great shots. The ranch itself is gorgeous with abundant wildlife. Roads getting to the lodge we all paved so don't worry about needing a 4wd vehicle. If you're going to spot/stalk I would HIGHLY recommend tall boots and tuck your pants inside as the cactus and grass burrs (i.e., goatheads) were pretty thick in places. If you're looking for a completely canned hunt this might not be for you but if you don't mind working a bit for a true trophy Plaska Lodge is a great option!
Went to plaska texas and hunted hogs in spring of 2021. Had a amazing time and can’t wait to go back! The crew at the lodge took great care of us and were very good people plus the food was delicious every day! Would highly recommend!

What an amazing weekend! Guides were kind, knowledgeable, gave great advice. Listen to them. They friggin' know. Amazing food, very good hospitality, comfortable beds, great amenities. Like hunting from your house. Will be back many times
