Excellent traditional Ticinese dishes, super friendly staff, and a rustic, grotto atmosphere. Highly recommend.

friendly southern atmosphere, simple local cuisine, very good polenta straight from the fire, reasonable prices, large portions, we'll be back soon ...

Best place in Ticino to eat delicious polenta! The dessert selection isn't great. Parking is a bit of an issue.

The polenta with porcini is very very good. Also, the risotto zafferano is a must try. The hosts are very warm and the portion size is also very large.

I visited this restaurant while on an excursion for one of my classes while studying abroad. The owners of the restaurant were extremely nice and informative. The wife of the couple gave us a tour and told us about the history of the location and how and why they do what they do in great detail. We had not set up a tour, or anything like that, we were just passing through. It was an amazing experience none of us could have expected. They spoke perfect English and and the wife gave an excellent history lesson. They are worldly people who want to share their life experiences and knowledge with travelers along with their excellent food. They are known for their polenta and have an amazing selection of meats, cheeses, and fresh bread. I highly recommend.
