What a magnificent building this is! We went to an event here tonight — a local author talking about his book. We met in an attractive conference room that appeared to be expandable to a larger size. It worked out perfectly for our purposes, as the author read his scintillating stories and talked about what it’s like to be a writer. Then we walked out into the library itself, and we were stunned. The architecture is soaring and modern, yet feels comfortable and accommodating at the same time. The two-story structure is encased in glass with an open and airy feeling, and there are so many thousands of books inside, it was almost overwhelming. Another positive fact about this library: It’s open until 9 PM. That’s an hour later than our Germantown library, so I might be moseying down here to find a book or two someday soon. I would recommend you consider doing the same!

Disappointing visit. I needed to kill some time while my sons were at practice, so I brought my 3-year-old and infant to read a bit. When we got to the doors, we were greeted with an unwelcoming sign asking their patrons to limit their visit to 2 hours. Then, after we selected a book to read , there was literally only ONE chair to sit in. ONE!!!! The rest were flipped over with signs that read, \Do not sit on.\ So we squished on the solitary chair in a very open area with no one around and read our book. Have you ever read a book aloud or talked for a fair amount of time with a mask on? Not pleasant, and even more difficult when your young child cannot hear you. So I took off my mask, but was told I needed to put it back on. (Because we clearly weren't social distanced enough among all the open space with no one around, and the flipped over chairs...) I get that we're in the midst of a pandemic, but really?! So now we're ready to look for and check out books. Mask on (no problem, I'm happy to comply as we walk through the library) we find some books and head to checkout. Yet another obstacle: I cannot check out any books because I have 6.25 in fines (of which I was aware). Nevermind that I literally checked out books and movies yesterday from my home library... If all the libraries are going to be CAFE libraries and all in the same network, they should all have the same policies to save their patrons from confusion, frustration, and wasted time. As a rule, I like this library. They usually have a nice setup and great resources. I guess I'll be finding somewhere else to kill time, and keep borrowing through my library. Again, a disappointing visit.

Walked in the library without a mask.. They gave me one. I wore it to the food room and was entirely alone. Took mask off and ate my food.. Was approached by staff to put my mask on, when I was alone and undisturbed for 15 minutes... I put on the mask over my mouth, but that wasnt good enough for the liberal arts director who stood there waiting for me to place the mask over my nose.. Of course, she had nothing better to do, with such a low satisfying job, that she called the cops on me. No big deal, they seemed to side with me on the whole topic.. She got super annoyed when I told her to stop being so gullible watching CNN and ABC every night.. I'm certain she will need a safe space and some Obama audio books to recover.. In the meantime, I am soaking up the free wifi in my truck right next to the library per police advice

Huge resource to the Menomonee Falls community. Lots of great programs for children and parents. Me and my daughter absolutely love the 1000 books before Kindergarten program. She can hardly wait to finish sheets and turn them in. The play area is always clean, it's the highlight of our visits everytime. I also highly enjoy the stock of books and magazines. I love that they also have an area by the entrance full of things happening in the community. I fully believe participating in local events strengthens a community, and have brings great fun! We frequent the library on bi-weekly basis. It's always an enjoyable trip. I can't say my family has ever had a negative trip to the library. I highly recommend it for anyone with kids

The librarian was rude to us when we had more than two people in a room and didn’t show any respect for us
