Roanoke is a very popular pub type place on Mercer Island a few minutes off I-90. It's a retrofitted home that's made into essentially a bar, however they serve food as well. They have a lot of seating indoors, but plenty of seating outdoors as well. It's pretty easy to find parking too, both in front and I'm back of the Inn. They have a decent list of beers on tap and also filled growlers, but you should check out their daily specials which are sometimes pretty good. The food is alright, nothing to go wild about, but you go here more for the beers and hangout with friends. Currently during COVID, they are set up well, distancing, take out menus, shields at the counter and compostable everything.

This dive bar/restaurant is an institution with locals. The food is good enough for a old bar and the decor feels like hasn't been updated in decades (many decades?). All of which adds up to old familiar comfortable feeling. Great place to catch up with old friends. Good outdoor seating options.

Great social distancing setup. Big outside pergolas, heaters and television. Best out of doors set up

I've been going to the Roanoke for 45 years or more. Under the current circumstances, I didn't know what to expect and was pleasantly surprised. The staff was great, from ordering to the, finish everythin was exceptional! It was spacious, warm, inviting, and a safe environment. Highly recommend for a Covid-19 causes dinner.

Wonderful, quirky, out of the way pub built in 1914 - you have to know it's there, otherwise you'd never see it. We stopped on our bikes mid-route on our way back to Seattle via the I-90 bridge and the staff were happy to accommodate us on the front porch (even though it was 40 degrees). We'll be back for dinner (and without the sweaty bike clothes.) Note: 21 and over only.
