I just saw the Tennessee Williams paintings—obviously knew of his plays, but had no idea he was also a painter. Fantastic and informational exhibit! So glad to have quality shows available locally. Given the first Saturday discount tickets, it's even more feasible to give kids world-class exposure to the arts.

Such a fun experience, all in a beautifully modern facility. The state of Mississippi has an incredible history of developing famous entertainers. As they state in the museum, maybe it’s because we often times have nothing more to do other than sit on the front porch, play our guitar and dream of something more. We visited during the traveling Jim Henson exhibit. However, the standing Mississippi exhibit is worth the visit alone. Exhibits were all very interactive, containing some very cool, seemingly cutting edge technology (e.g. the kitchen table area highlighting local chefs and flavors). These aspects make this a great visit for kids as well. Staff was very friendly and more than willing to engage regarding local history. This is a visit every Mississippian should make, and well worth the time for any out of state visitor wanting to learn more about an often misunderstood part of our country.

We attend the mini maestros program weekly. My toddler loves it. It was a little more interactive with the previous instructor. But it’s a free program so I can’t really complain. They do an art activity each week as well as music and dancing.

One of the best museums I have ever been too and I live in DC where we have a few museums. The best use of technology to tell stories I have seen. This is what an interactive museum is supposed to be. Good for all ages and does an amazing job of exploring the contributions of Mississippians to the arts. I wish they had some posters of some of the exhibits like the music influences wall.

Highly recommend this attraction if you find yourself in Meridian, MS. Very interactive and informative exhibits. The museum's architecture is beautiful and stands out apart from the old downtown.
