Rush Health Systems Reviews | Rating 2.4 out of 5 stars (5 reviews)

Rush Health Systems is located in Meridian, United States on 1314 19th Ave. Rush Health Systems is rated 2.4 out of 5 in the category hospital in United States. “We believe in the trait of human-kind which makes each man his brother’s keeper: that the strong will care for the weak.” That simple, powerful principle, set down in 1947 as the concluding line of the Rush Builder’s Creed, has guided Rush Health Systems since Dr. J. H. Rush opened Meridian’s first private hospital, the 18-bed Rush Infirmary, in 1915. Today, Rush Health Systems still proudly operates Rush Foundation Hospital, now a 215-bed acute care facility. Also serving East Central Mississippi and West Central Alabama are The Specialty Hospital of Meridian, a 49-bed long-term acute care hospital, and five critical access hospitals: • Laird Hospital in Union, Mississippi • H. C. Watkins Memorial Hospital in Quitman, Mississippi • Scott Regional Hospital in Morton, Mississippi • John C. Stennis Memorial Hospital in DeKalb, Mississippi • Choctaw General Hospital in Butler, Alabama. Rush Health Systems also encompasses Medical Foundation, Inc., a physician management company, and Rush Medical Group, a multispecialty physician practice. In September 2019, Rush announced a strategic partnership with Ochsner Health System of Louisiana that highlights Rush’s commitment to remain on the cutting edge of healthcare. The partnership includes implementation of best-in-class electronic health information software from Epic, leveraging of Ochsner’s comprehensive telemedicine capabilities, access to Ochsner’s nationally recognized billing systems, and other investments in state-of-the-art medical technology.

Customer service or receptionist service is sub par at best. It seems that the people in these positions at this facility care not about their job or the patients entering the clinic or facility for services. Unfortunately I have to see doctors often and have other outpatient services. My experience with the receptionist has been very uncomfortable and I feel some of it was because of race. Shame to say but it was very obvious.

I had a great experience with my doctors and nurses at the Rush Ambulatory. What I didn't have a great experience with was when I checked my purse, a large sum of money was missing. I thought since I had a room there, my belongings would be protected because no one ever asked me did I have any valuables. This was my first time having something done so I was unaware. I am still waiting to hear back about any information that have been found. This rating is not for my doctors because if my money had never come up missing, they would have 5 stars.

My husband came to rush sat for three hours in pain with his toe that was hit by a hammer. After expressing what happened and pain level the X-ray tech was the only one to actually help him she was amazing the nurse didn’t do her job at all. Basically wanted him to walk out the way he came in toe busted and all they did was put a bandaid on it as if it was a scrap from falling off a bike all I can say we’re not paying this bill cause we could of done that at home IMG_3550.HEIC

Very clean and bright. Staff are happy to help you with just about anything. Staff are very nice and patient. They make sure that you understand procedure, medicines and 99% of the time they will walk you to where you need to go.

Went to ER for shortness of breath and tightness in chest. They took blood and chest X-ray. 5 hours later we still had not heard anything or seen anyone! Until we told them to remove IV so we could leave. They came right away for that! But can’t give any information about labs or X-ray in 5 hours!!! Never will go to this hospital again! Ridiculous
